At its press event in Barcelona, Sony showed off its brand new Android tablet, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. Equipped with a gorgeous 10.1" WUXGA display, the tablet also has Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 built in. The screen with a resolution of 1900 x 1200 looks absolutely stunning especially when the Mobile Bravia engine kicks in for photos and videos. Sony is also touting a shatter proof sheet on scratch resistant glass which should be similar to the Gorilla Glass technology.  With its matte finish design, the Xperia Tablet Z feels really good in the hand. Minimal Xperia branding can be spotted towards the middle of the handset. An NFC badge at the bottom indicates the presence of said capabilities in the handset. The power key on the Xperia Z Tablet resembles the one on the smartphone which brings us back to the fact that the entire device complements and essentially follows the same design language as the Xperia Z smartphone. Smart move by Sony there. Another highlight feature of the tablet that really stands out is that it is just about 6.9mm thick and weighs about 495grams.
